Johnston Trenchless Solutions is a specialist arm of the Joseph Gallagher Group.? The origins of the division date back to 1924 and it has built up specialist experience, over many years, of general tunnelling, pipe jacking, microtunnelling, auger boring, guided auger boring and directional drilling work.

The company owns an extensive fleet of specialist plant and equipment, enabling ground conditions from hard rock to water bearing silts to be tackled with confidence. Johnston Trenchless Solutions is able to offer the very best construction techniques within a wide range of soil types using the latest technology.

The current range of mechanical tunnelling plant includes mechanical earth pressure counter-balance shields, shielded roadheaders and back-actor shields, conventional and guided auger boring rigs, directional drilling rigs and ancillary small diameter installation equipment. This range of specialist plant enables the company to offer competitive rates for trenchless pipelines, tunnels and pipe jacks from 0.15m to 3.7m diameter.

We are past winners of the UKSTT "Project of the Year" award for the most innovative pipejacked tunnel constructed in the UK.
